The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IV-A, through its Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, conducted its Year End Assembly Meeting with its Regional Convergence Team (RCT) on September 6, 2024 at Lucena City Government Complex (New Lucena City Hall), Lucena City, Quezon.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) has successfully conducted a series of Social Preparation Activities to prepare the community based organizations for the market linkage projects to its partners from July to August 2024 in Davao Region in participation of the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP).

Lucena City, Quezon (16 August 2024) - The Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty - Regional Program Management Office IV-A (EPAHP-RPMO IV-A) facilitated the awareness of SLPAs, IAs and association involved in food production or food manufacturing on the market potential of institutional feeding program and the need to complete their registration and accreditation to government regulatory bodies. The CBO Conference was held at Lucena City Hall last 16 August 2024. 9 SLPAs, IAs and other farmer groups from Lucena City, Sariaya and Tiaong participated in the said activity.

EPAHP RPMO IV-A in partnership with Philippine Information Agency (PIA - CALABARZON) conducted the Bagong Calabarzon Barangay Forum at Morong, Rizal providing the local farmers with information on government programs and initiatives towards mitigating hunger, food and nutrition security and reducing poverty.

LOOK | The DSWD Field Office XI, through its Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region XI, facilitated the Midyear Assessment and Planning Workshop for the members of the Regional Convergence Team on August 2, 2024, at the Mindanao Training Center, NIA Compound, Davao City.

EPAHP RPMO IV-A validated four community-based organizations (CBOs) in Batangas City, assessing their technical, legal, and financial capacity to supply DSWD Feeding Programs. The validation reaffirms the use of Negotiated Procurement Community Participation in implementing DSWD Feeding Programs.

The Training on Rabbit Raising with Food Processing is a collaborative effort between the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), aimed at equipping beneficiaries with essential skills in rabbit husbandry and innovative food processing techniques. By empowering local communities, the program seeks to promote sustainable agriculture and economic resilience in Masbate and beyond.

The Seminar-Workshop on the Utilization of Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation (NP-CP) Mode of Procurement is a collaborative effort between the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Regional Program Management Office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office 5 and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Office 5 aimed to to equip the EPAHP Regional Convergence Team and other implementing partners with technical expertise in NP-CP procurement. This will enable them to offer technical support to direct recipients such as local farmers, community-based organizations, and government procuring entities.

(Calamba City, Laguna) The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IV-A, through its Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, successfully conducted its Mid-Year Planning Workshop with its Regional Convergence Team (RCT) on July 17-19, 2024. Representatives and EPAHP Focals from 16 agencies and offices gathered at the Riverview Resort and Conference Center to discuss the RCT’s accomplishments, intercessions, and updates.

The vitality of crafting a Joint Memorandum Circular for the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty is instrumental as it will allow the EPAHP Partner Agencies to effectively implement their EPAHP-related programs and services, as their roles and responsibilities are in details, preventing overlapping program implementation, resulting to efficient resource utilization and program impact felt by the program beneficiaries.

In response to a request from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VII, DSWD Field Office XI facilitated a comprehensive study on Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation (NP-CP) in the Davao Region. The study was conducted in Malita, Davao Occidental, Mati City, Davao Oriental, Asuncion, Davao del Norte, and at the Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs) in Tagum City, Davao del Norte on July 8 and 12, 2024.

(Makati City, Manila) – EPAHP RPMO IV-A participated in a Technical Sharing Session (TSS) on Secretariat Services last 04 July 2024 at Tiera Oriental Hotel, Makati City. The activity was organized by the PPD (Policy and Plans Division) of FO IV-A to equip Secretariat Teams with the necessary knowledge to effectively perform their roles.

The City of Mati, Davao Oriental was chosen along with nine other LGUs throughout the country as the winners of the first Walang Gutom Awards of the national government. It was Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat who accepted the award in Malacañang on June 26, 2024.
