EPAHP's Efforts Lead to Successful NPCP Adoption and CBO Partnerships in LGU Quezon and Tumauini for the 14th Cycle Feeding Program

The EPAHP DOS has made significant strides in promoting the adoption of the Negotiated Procurement Community Participation (NPCP) mode in institutional feeding programs under the DSWD across Local Government Units (LGUs). As a result, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) are being consistently linked to market opportunities.

A key success is the Epiphany Multi-Purpose Cooperative, which secured the contract to supply LGU Quezon's 14th Cycle Feeding Program through the NPCP procurement mode. On October 11, 2024, the cooperative delivered chicken, eggs, pork, rice, and flour to the LGU, with the total amount reaching ₱201,665.

In LGU Tumauini, the Sta Catalina Cooperative successfully participated in the Supplementary Feeding Program for the second time since its implementation on September 9, 2024. The cooperative supplied rice and eggs worth ₱73,870.The cooperative remains confident that this process will further support small farmers and fisherfolk by ensuring steady market access and sustainable income.

The EPAHP Program's primary goal is to connect CBOs with institutional markets, fostering inclusive economic growth while addressing hunger and poverty. These recent cooperative deliveries mark a significant achievement in the program's mission to provide stable livelihood opportunities for cooperatives and small enterprises, ultimately promoting sustainable development.
