DSWD-EPAHP 12 holds 2nd Kape’ta Meeting for 2026 Planning
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) 12, held its 2nd Kape’ta Meeting with supply-side partners at Venue 88 Hotel, General Santos City. The meeting aimed to plan ahead for 2026 and strengthen the Negotiated Procurement - Community Participation (NP-CP) approach. This approach helps local community groups (CBOs) take part in government programs, especially in providing food and livelihood support. Regional Director Loreto V. Cabaya Jr. joined the event, along with the EPAHP team and different partner agencies. Together, they shared ideas and plans to make EPAHP stronger and more effective in the coming year. A main part of the activity was a workshop and encoding session, where the group worked on a CBO mapping template for Region 12. This will help in knowing which groups are active and ready to partner with the government. Agencies present were DSWD-SLP, NIA Region 12, PhilRice Region 12, DAR Region 12, and Mahintana Foundation. All of them committed to support EPAHP’s mission to fight hunger, reduce poverty, and help communities grow through teamwork and shared effort.
