Empowering Bicol EPAHP RCT: Seminar-Workshop Enhances Understanding of Procurement Practices

The Seminar-Workshop on the Utilization of Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation (NP-CP) Mode of Procurement is a collaborative effort between the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Regional Program Management Office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office 5 and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Office 5 aimed to to equip the EPAHP Regional Convergence Team and other implementing partners with technical expertise in NP-CP procurement. This will enable them to offer technical support to direct recipients such as local farmers, community-based organizations, and government procuring entities.

DSWD FIELD OFFICE IV-A HOSTS ANNUAL STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT PLANNING FOR EPAHP CALABARZON REGIONAL CONVERGENCE TEAM

(Calamba City, Laguna) The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office IV-A, through its Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, successfully conducted its Mid-Year Planning Workshop with its Regional Convergence Team (RCT) on July 17-19, 2024. Representatives and EPAHP Focals from 16 agencies and offices gathered at the Riverview Resort and Conference Center to discuss the RCT’s accomplishments, intercessions, and updates.

The vitality of crafting a Joint Memorandum Circular for the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty is instrumental as it will allow the EPAHP Partner Agencies to effectively implement their EPAHP-related programs and services, as their roles and responsibilities are in details, preventing overlapping program implementation, resulting to efficient resource utilization and program impact felt by the program beneficiaries.

In response to a request from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VII, DSWD Field Office XI facilitated a comprehensive study on Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation (NP-CP) in the Davao Region. The study was conducted in Malita, Davao Occidental, Mati City, Davao Oriental, Asuncion, Davao del Norte, and at the Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs) in Tagum City, Davao del Norte on July 8 and 12, 2024.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI (DSWD XI), through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) and the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), held a Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between SLP Associations and DSWD Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs) on July 4, 2024 at DSWD Field Office XI, Davao City.

EPAHP RPMO Region VI conducts CBO/SLPA Conference within 6 Provinces

The DSWD-Region VI EPAHP Program conducts the Community-Based Organization (CBO)/Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) Conference within 6 provinces of Western Visayas, namely; the Province of Iloilo, Guimaras, Capiz, Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental on April 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, and 25, 2024. Members and representatives from the CBOs/SLPAs were invited to attend the conference. Representatives from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) were present to discuss the benefits and importance of registering within their respective agencies.
