EPAHP RPMO Region VI conducts CBO/SLPA Conference within 6 Provinces

The DSWD-Region VI EPAHP Program conducts the Community-Based Organization (CBO)/Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) Conference within 6 provinces of Western Visayas, namely; the Province of Iloilo, Guimaras, Capiz, Aklan, Antique, and Negros Occidental on April 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, and 25, 2024. Members and representatives from the CBOs/SLPAs were invited to attend the conference. Representatives from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) were present to discuss the benefits and importance of registering within their respective agencies.

EPAHP cascades Digital Mapping System to RPMOs

The Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program conducts an activity titled “Cascading of EPAHP-Digital Mapping System and Encoding of Community-Based Organization and Press Release” from May 28 to June 1, 2024, to orient and capacitate the EPAHP National Program Management Office (NPMO) and Regional Program Management Offices (RPMO) Staff to fully utilize the EPAHP-Digital Mapping System (EPAHP-DMS).

The signing of the Regional Memorandum of Understanding of the 26 partner agencies of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Regional Convergence Team is a testament to the commitment, solidarity, and hope that the dreaded dilemma of hunger, poverty, and malnutrition in the country can be eradicated with the government leading the way.

The activity is a pivotal step towards Community-Based Organizations' sustainability through its utilization of Negotiated Procurement/Community Participation (NP-CP). This shows DepEd RO VIII commitment to the government’s quest against hunger and poverty – by providing students with healthy and nutritious foods and income to the marginalized sectors in the community the farmers and fisherfolks.

Exploring the Northern Frontiers of Region VIII: DSWD FO VIII EPAHP RPMO Discussion on the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger & Poverty (EPAHP) and Reiteration of Utilization of Negotiated Procurement - Community Participation (NP-CP) in the LGU of Allen, Northern Samar

The introduction of the EPAHP program to the Northernmost province of Region VIII created an avenue for the LGU farmers and fisherfolk to have a direct market to the current thirty-four (34) members of EPAHP FO VIII RPMO for their livelihood sustainability and assistance.

DSWD XI Hosts 3-Day Technical Session on Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation for Local Government Units in Davao Region

Davao City, April 3-5, 2024 - The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI, through its Supplementary Feeding Unit and the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Regional Program Management Office (RPMO), successfully spearheaded a three-day Technical Session on Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation (NP-CP) for Local Government Units (LGUs) in the Davao Region. The event took place at the Ritz Hotel, Davao City.

These were the words of Analyn Tingal, the Treasurer of the Tambo Malambuon Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) after joining the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI – Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (DSWD-EPAHP) capacity-building training dubbed EPAHP Service Caravan and CBO Resource Mobilization Conference held on May 6-7, 2024 at The Ritz Hotel at Garden Oasis, Davao City which aimed to empower identified twenty (20) community-based organization leaders and representatives across the Davao Region.
