The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XI through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) has successfully conducted a series of Social Preparation Activities to prepare the community based organizations for the market linkage projects to its partners from July to August 2024 in Davao Region in participation of the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP).

EPAHP IV-A Holds CBO Conference for Farmers of Quezon Province

Lucena City, Quezon (16 August 2024) - The Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty - Regional Program Management Office IV-A (EPAHP-RPMO IV-A) facilitated the awareness of SLPAs, IAs and association involved in food production or food manufacturing on the market potential of institutional feeding program and the need to complete their registration and accreditation to government regulatory bodies. The CBO Conference was held at Lucena City Hall last 16 August 2024. 9 SLPAs, IAs and other farmer groups from Lucena City, Sariaya and Tiaong participated in the said activity.

EPAHP RPMO IV-A in partnership with Philippine Information Agency (PIA - CALABARZON) conducted the Bagong Calabarzon Barangay Forum at Morong, Rizal providing the local farmers with information on government programs and initiatives towards mitigating hunger, food and nutrition security and reducing poverty.

Empowering Bicol EPAHP RCT: Seminar-Workshop Enhances Understanding of Procurement Practices

The Seminar-Workshop on the Utilization of Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation (NP-CP) Mode of Procurement is a collaborative effort between the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Regional Program Management Office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office 5 and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Regional Office 5 aimed to to equip the EPAHP Regional Convergence Team and other implementing partners with technical expertise in NP-CP procurement. This will enable them to offer technical support to direct recipients such as local farmers, community-based organizations, and government procuring entities.

Representatives and EPAHP Focals from 16 agencies and offices gathered at the Riverview Resort and Conference Center to discuss the RCTโ€™s accomplishments, intercessions, and updates.
