Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations(SLPAs) are an organized group consisting of 5 to 30 members and received the Seed Capital Fund to kick off their livelihood to improve the SLP participantโs socio-economic status.
Some SLPAs have the potential to earn more by producing more of their crops as they also have the assets like vast farmlands, machinery, working animals, and etc. Through Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) - convergence initiative, the established SLP Associations will be linked into potential markets, such as the government institutional feeding program, to ensure sustainability. This would require the SLPA to possess legal identification.
The process of acquiring these legal identifications is not an easy task and would prove a hassle to the SLPAs as they would physically go to the government agency. Thus, EPAHP aims to solve this bottleneck by facilitating the registration of the SLPAs to the Bureau of Internal Revenue(BIR) and the Securities and Exchange Commissions(SEC). Moreover, EPAHP has vetted a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the BIR and the SEC.
This forged partnership is integral in attaining the SLPโs aim to access necessary assets to engage in and maintain thriving livelihoods by linking them to more market opportunities.
