DSWD FO X and NIA 10 Sign 2.7M Peso Rice Supply Agreement for Centers and Residential Care Facilities
The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office X (DSWD FO X), through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program, signs a Service Agreement with the National Irrigation Administration 10 (NIA 10).
Regional Director Ramel F. Jamen led the signing ceremony, joined by Jose R. Panes, President of the Pulangui River Irrigation System Confederation of Irrigators Association, Inc. (PRISCIA), and Engr. Elpedio D. Lucernas Jr., Division Manager of the Bukidnon Irrigation Management Office, with officers and staff from both organizations in attendance.
Under this agreement, PRISCIA will supply rice to DSWD FO X’s Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs).The contract, valued at 2.7 million pesos, extends until December 31, 2024.
This partnership underscores the EPAHP program’s commitment to linking community-based organizations with potential markets. Notably, it marks the first adoption of CRCFs to the Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation mode of procurement.
The EPAHP program, a flagship initiative of the Inter-Agency Task Force Zero Hunger established under Executive Order No. 101, aims to ensure food and nutrition security and reduce poverty in both urban and rural areas, including marginalized communities.
