(Lucena City, Quezon) On September 6, 2024, the DSWD Field Office IV-A, through Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, spearheaded the Regional Convergence Team’s (RCTs) Year End Assembly Meeting. The meeting aims to revisit the Risk and Opportunity Report made during the Mid Year Planning and create a draft Operational Action Plan for CY 2025. Partner agencies were given time to share their accomplishments from January to August 2024, focusing on their commitment to the RCT's Risk Treatment Plan (RTP). The presentations highlighted the progress made in achieving the goals set forth in the RTP, showcasing the dedication and hard work of each partner agency. The collaborative efforts of the partner agencies have made a positive impact on the communities.

Moving forward, the draft Operational Action Plan for CY 2025 was built upon these achievements and set more responsive targets to further alleviate hunger and poverty in the region. Set targets are focusing on convergence and partnership building among stakeholders to maximize  the impact of their efforts. By working together and pooling resources, the partner agencies hope to create a more sustainable solution to hunger and poverty in the region. Partners were enthusiastic about moving forward with the implementation of the draft Operational Action Plan and were committed to working together to achieve the shared goals.

Overall, it was a productive gathering that highlighted the strong partnerships between the regional convergence team. The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of unity and determination to make a positive impact on the community through collective efforts.

The Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger And Poverty is an inter-agency convergence program with the goal of mitigating hunger and promoting food and nutrition security. In CALABARZON, 17 regional line agencies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in June 2023 to formalize collaboration and ensure that food and nutrition security programs are synergized.  These agencies form the EPAHP CALABARZON Regional Convergence Team (RCT), the main support working group of the program, chaired by DSWD. The EPAHP-RPMO IV-A serves as its Secretariat.  For more information, visit epahp.org or contact EPAHP-RPMO IV-A at 0998-939-4614. (with reports from HSParaiso)
