EPAHP Regional Convergence Team Kicks Off Year with Strategic Planning Workshop
Bicol Region - The Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Regional Convergence Team (RCT) recently concluded a dynamic two-day planning workshop aimed at setting the stage for a year of impactful action. Held at the Hotel Sentro, Legazpi City on March 23-24, 2024 under the theme "EPAHP RCT Year Starter Planning Workshop," the event brought together diverse partner agencies from across the Bicol Region to reflect on past achievements, set strategic goals, and chart a course for the effective implementation of EPAHP programs.
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for participating agencies to conduct a comprehensive review of their performance in the previous year, particularly in relation to EPAHP-related activities and projects. Through engaging discussions and analyses, attendees identified successes, challenges, and areas for improvement, laying a solid foundation for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Key highlights of the workshop included:
- Review of Last Year's Accomplishments: Participants revisited the results of last year's Annual Conference and Program Review and Evaluation Workshop (PREW) through the STOP, START, and CONTINUE methods, allowing for a thorough analysis of expectations and outcomes.
- Orientation on EPAHP Digital Mapping System: Mr. Frenz Marlon S. Ocariza, Information Technology Officer I of EPAHP-NPMO, provided an insightful orientation on the EPAHP Digital Mapping System, outlining the step-by-step process for registering Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and discussing the anticipated roles of partner agencies utilizing the technology.
- Finalization of RCT Plan: Ms. Alayssa B. Cabigao, Regional Program Coordinator of EPAHP-RPMO, facilitated the finalization of the RCT plan by leading discussions on each partner agency's programs, projects, and activities as their identified commitment to the EPAHP program.
"The Year Starter Planning Workshop provided a crucial platform for our partner agencies to align their efforts and set strategic goals for the year ahead," said DSWD FO V Regional Director Norman S. Laurio. "Through collaborative discussions and informed decision-making, we are confident in our ability to drive positive change and make a meaningful impact on the lives of communities across the Bicol Region", he added.
The workshop culminated in the development of a comprehensive Summary of Agreements and a Convergence Road Map or Plan of Action, outlining the strategic direction of the RCT for the year 2024. These outputs will serve as guiding documents for the effective implementation of EPAHP programs throughout the region, ensuring a coordinated and impactful approach to addressing hunger and poverty.
