The current context on addressing hunger and poverty in the Philippines poses significant barriers to achieving sustainable and equitable development while undermining the well-being of millions of Filipinos, predominantly those living in marginalized communities. Assisting the government in its endeavor to reduce the incidence of poverty is one of the primary objectives of the EPAHP. Direct market connections are sought after in order to support small-holder farmers and community-based organizations. Nonetheless, these initiatives would not be feasible without the ongoing support of the EPAHP Partner agencies who continuously support in a bid to help mitigate hunger and poverty.
