EPAHP Regional Convergence FO8 Annual Prew

Conducted last November 22-23 at Hotel Costa Brava, Tacloban City, the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Regional Convergence Team Annual PREW, with a Theme, “EPAHP Otso: Kasugbong Pag-uswag, Seguridad ha Komunidad. The event became an avenue to showcase each partner agency's accomplishments on their programs that aim to alleviate the Waraynon from poverty and achieve zero hunger. Presided by the Co-Chair of the IATF Zero Hunger in Region VIII, the National Nutrition Council Regional Nutrition Coordinator, Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr. reiterated the significance of collaborative and coordinated partnership to achieve the aim of Ambisyon Natin 2040 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 1, 2, and 17. He further explained, that the Community-Based Organization's capacitation should be prioritized, to sustain their livelihood and grow into a bigger organization capable of supplying the commodities of the institutional feeding program of the government. This is one way to address malnutrition, hunger, and poverty in the region.

The two-day activity made the RCT bond stronger, created comprehensive solutions to gaps in EPAHP-related program implementation, clarified processes and issues, and drafted EPAHP RCT Resolution No. 002 where unanimously the participants affirmed their support for the Project Convergence Budgeting programs for CY 2024 and the creation of Provincial Convergence Team. The CY 2023, might have been a tough time for the Team, but never it became a hindrance as viewed in the implementation plan for CY 2023 where targets were hit and some went beyond their projected goals. This proves that every partner agency can make it through when there is a “Kasugbong” united with the aim of a better life for every Filipino in the country.
