Regional collaboration strengthened as 23 agencies in Region VI signs the Regional MoU on the EPAHP Program

23 agencies in Region VI gathered to sign a Regional Memorandum of Understanding on the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program on December 1, 2023.

[Iloilo City], [01 December 2023] –

In an effort to contribute to the national government's fight in addressing hunger and, poverty and ensuring food security through the synergy and convergence of the essential services of EPAHP Regional Partners, 23 agencies in Region VI gathered to sign a Regional Memorandum of Understanding on the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program on December 1, 2023.

The RMOU took place at District 21 Hotel, Iloilo City, bringing together the Regional Directors, Regional Managers and representatives different government agencies.

“This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in our collective journey towards fostering regional cooperation, promoting sustainable development, and strengthening our shared commitment to our common goals in EPAHP Program which are to increase farm productivity, increase income of farmers, fisherfolks and Community Based Organizations, ensure food security and alleviate poverty and malnutrition in the country” said Arwin Razo, Assistant Regional Director for Operations of DSWD Field Office VI.

The 23 agencies present were Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD); Department of Agriculture (DA); Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR); National Food Authority (DA-NFA); National Irrigation Administration (NIA); Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) at La Carlota Stock Farm; Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) at West Visayas State University; Philippine Coconut Authority (DA-PCA); Department of Budget and Management (DBM); Department of Education (DepED); Department of Health (DOH CHD-WV); Commission on Population and Development (CPD); National Nutrition Council (NNC); Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT); Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG); Department of Trade and Industry (DTI); Cooperative Development Authority (CDA); Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP); Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP); National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC); Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC); Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP); Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
