CBOs endorsed by the EPAHP Program to WGP joined the Food Redemption Day at Himamaylan City
Two community-based organizations (CBOs) endorsed by the EPAHP Program participated in Walang Gutom Program (WGP) Food Redemption Day in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental
The Aguisan Livelihood Association (AGUILA) and the Friends of the Earth Vendors Association of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) served as retailers for the event, which benefited 437 individuals who received food assistance vouchers. These associations successfully distributed nutritious food to the program beneficiaries.
The WGP Food Redemption activity aims to improve household access to nutritious food through EBT-based credit assistance. This not only enables beneficiaries to purchase essential food items but also strengthens the economic well-being of the participating CBOs by providing them with increased sales and revenue.
