DSWD EPAHP Region IV-A participated in the Supplementary Feeding Program Review and Evaluation Workshop CY 2024

Representatives from the DSWD Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Region IV-A participate in the Supplementary Feeding Program Review and Evaluation Workshop CY 2024 to introduce and discuss the EPAHP's purpose and objectives. The Local Government Units (LGUs) in the provinces of CALABARZON attended the event, which took place at the Linden Suites in Pasig, Metro Manila. The workshop was divided into four batches: Batangas (April 17–19), Laguna (April 24-26), Cavite and Rizal (May 8–10), and Quezon (May 22–24). EPAHP's participation in this activity aims to encourage LGUs to utilize the 30% food requirement of the Supplementary Feeding Program by directly purchasing from the local community farmers using the NPCP mode of procurement.  Moreover, representatives from the Municipality of Cavinti, Laguna, shared their best practices and success stories in adopting the NPCP mode of procurement, which served as inspiration for others to do the same.

With this collaborative effort, the program hopes to create a sustainable solution to address hunger and poverty in Region IV-A.
