EPAHP Orientation: Strengthening Partnerships for Sustainable Development in South Cotabato
June 22, 2023, South Cotabato, – In a significant move to bolster regional collaboration, an orientation marks a crucial phase in aligning local initiatives with the broader objectives of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program, underscoring the commitment to sustainable community empowerment and economic development.
The orientation at the Provincial Social Welfare Office, Provincial Capitol of South Cotabato attended by the PSWDO Sonia L. Bautista, RSW. The primary aim was to provide a comprehensive overview of the EPAHP program, its objectives, and the strategic importance of the Regional MOU Addendum in fostering collaborative efforts.
The orientation featured an in-depth presentation on EPAHP by Ibrahim S. Sangcupan, the Project Development Officer III – Regional Program Coordinator of EPAHP. The presentation covered the program's history, objectives, and the critical role of community participation. It also outlined the various components of EPAHP, including capacity building, sustainable agriculture, and livelihood development, all aimed at creating long-term solutions for hunger and poverty alleviation.
A significant portion of the orientation focused on the Regional MOU Addendum, which serves as an extension of the existing MOU, tailored to address the specific needs and contexts of South Cotabato. RPC Sangcupan elaborated on the provisions of the addendum, emphasizing its role in enhancing local capacities, fostering inter-agency collaboration, and ensuring the sustainability of EPAHP initiatives.
The EPAHP Orientation for the Regional MOU Addendum represents a pivotal step in South Cotabato's journey toward achieving food security, economic empowerment, and sustainable development.
