EPAHP Orientation: Strengthening Collaborative Efforts in Cotabato Province

EPAHP Dose advances regional cooperation and partnership with Governor Emmylou 'Lala' Taliño-Mendoza and the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Cotabato through the conduct of EPAHP Orientation.

March 25, 2024, Amas, Kidapawan City, Cotabato Province – Ibrahim S. Sangcupan led an in-depth presentation on the EPAHP program, covering its history, objectives, and the essential role of community involvement. The presentation highlighted key components of EPAHP, including capacity building, sustainable agriculture, and livelihood development. These elements are integral to creating long-term solutions for hunger and poverty alleviation in Cotabato.

One of the key programs discussed was the Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation (NP-CP) in the DSWD Feeding Program Implementation. EPAHP Regional Program Coordinator Ibrahim S. Sangcupan presented this initiative, detailing the memorandum from the DSWD Secretary regarding the utilization of NP-CP. This program aims to assist communities and impoverished individuals by providing opportunities for direct involvement in procurement processes.

Governor Emmylou "Lala" Taliño-Mendoza expressed her enthusiasm for the programs offered by the agency for the province, highlighting the significant benefits they will bring to those in need. She acknowledged the positive impact these initiatives will have on the community.

The endpoint of Cotabato's next steps on the EPAHP program implementation and the RMOU Addendum is to turn the plans that have been articulated into concrete actions, making sure that these activities are successful and long-lasting, ongoing assessment, training, and monitoring will be necessary.

The key turning point in Cotabato Proviince's approach to achieving food security, economic empowerment, and sustainable development is the EPAHP Orientation for the RMOU Addendum. The province is well-positioned to make noteworthy progress in boosting its citizens' living standards and constructing a resilient future through bolstering partnerships and encouraging community involvement.
