EPAHP Dose Conducts Orientation for RMOU Addendum with the Provincial Local Government Unit of Sarangani
March 19, 2024, Alabel, Sarangani– Boosting effort to strengthen regional collaboration and tackle the pressing issues of hunger and poverty, DSWD EPAHP Regional Program Management Office XII conducts orientation with PLGU Sarangani in its Conference Room, James L. Chiongbian Building, Provincial Capitol of Sarangani. This activity marks a crucial step towards aligning local initiatives with the overarching goals of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program.
The orientation was attended by key provincial officers, including Buenaventura Solarte Jr. (SWO III - OIC Assistant Provincial Social Welfare Development Officer), Charise J. Posadas (Nutrition Dietician III, Provincial Health Office), and other representatives from the administrative division. Their participation underscores the commitment of Sarangani's leadership to addressing hunger and poverty through coordinated and community-focused efforts.
Ibrahim S. Sangcupan led an in-depth presentation on the EPAHP program, covering its history, objectives, and the essential role of community involvement. The presentation highlighted key components of EPAHP, including capacity building, sustainable agriculture, and livelihood development. These elements are integral to creating long-term solutions for hunger and poverty alleviation in Sarangani.
A significant portion of the orientation was dedicated to discussing the RMOU Addendum, which extends the existing MOU to address the unique needs and contexts of Sarangani. Participants engaged in interactive discussions, raising inquiries and clarifications, allowing for exchanging experiences and best practices.
