The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XI (DSWD XI), through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) and the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), held a Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between SLP Associations and DSWD Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs) on July 4, 2024 at DSWD Field Office XI, Davao City.
This renewed agreement, initiated in April 2023, aims to continue the partnership between six identified SLP Federations/ Associations from Davao City, Davao del Norte, and Davao de Oro. These associations serve as suppliers and service providers, delivering essential goods needed by the DSWD centers.
The renewal of these agreements was made possible due to the overall positive impact observed in the evaluation conducted by EPAHP on the effectiveness of the marketing strategy. From April 2023 to June 2024, a total of PHP 10.7 million in income was generated, showcasing the success and mutual benefit of the partnership.
DSWD XI Regional Director Atty. Vanessa B. Goc-ong, ARD for Administration Merlinda A. Paragamac, Protective Services Division Chief Gemma D. Dela Cruz, Regional Program Coordinator of EPAHP Angelie Rodriguez-Darilay, along with the heads and representatives of each center, and presidents of SLP Federations/ Associations were present during the ceremony.
EPAHP is a convergence program to help increase farm productivity and income, ensure food and nutrition security and mitigate hunger and malnutrition in the urban and rural communities.
