DSWD XI partners with DavOcc Prov'l Hospital for Patients in Crisis

To assist patients in crisis situations, the DSWD Field Office XI and the Davao Occidental Provincial General Hospital signed a Memorandum of Agreement at the Malasakit Lobby, Provincial Hospital, Malita, Davao Occidental on October 25, 2023.
This agreement aims to formalize the hospital’s recognition of the DSWD Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program and bring assurance to the public that all individuals or families in crisis situations, regardless of patient category, will be provided with the services covered by the amount and other procedures indicated in the guarantee letter issued by the DSWD.
Present during the signing were Davao Occidental Provincial Governor Atty. Franklin P. Bautista, DSWD XI Regional Director Atty. Vanessa B. Goc-ong, DOH XI Regulations Licensing and Enforcement Division Chief Dr. Grace D. Amistoso, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Head Esterlita B. Hermosisima, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office Head Ferry Luz M. Bisenio and DSWD XI Provincial Operations Office staff.
The Davao Occidental Provincial General Hospital (DOPGH) is the first ever public hospital in Davao Occidental under the Department of Health that seeks to amplify the effectiveness of the province’s health system by providing continuous delivery of medical services for acute and complex medical conditions to patients.
AICS is one of the social welfare services of the DSWD that provides medical assistance, burial, transportation, education, food, or financial assistance for other support services or needs of a person or family. The objective of the AICS Program is to help individuals and families who are in crisis situations.
