Furthermore, the said MOU will provide opportunities to build on past achievements and address the challenges encountered from the previous implementation. It also included new partners that would enrich the collaborative landscape, bringing diverse perspectives and resources to enhance the programโs reach and effectiveness. This expansion underlines the positive reputation of EPAHP and signifies its growing significance as a catalyst for cross-agency cooperation.
Aside from the renewed MOU, it also became a venue for the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with three (3) Local Government Units (LGUs), namely, Malita, Davao Occidental, Asuncion, Davao del Norte and New Bataan, Davao de Oro. These LGUs adopted and supported the NP-CP through the implementation of their feeding program.
Both ceremonial signings were attended by different honorable guests such as Atty. Eufracion P. Dayaday, Municipal Mayor from Asunciรณn, Davao del Norte, the Regional Directors and representatives from the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, the Department of Education, Department of Labor and Employment, the Department of Health, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, National Irrigation Administration, Commission on Population and Development, Land Bank of the Philippines, Department of Budget and Management, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, National Nutrition Council, National Dairy Authority, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Cooperative Development Authority, Agricultural Training Institute, Philippine Coconut Authority, Presidential Commission on Urban Poor, Holy Cross of Davao College, and National Food Authority.
Moreover, the said activity also served as a celebration of victory for the three successful years of EPAHP implementation. It was an inspiring collaboration among NGAs and other partner stakeholders in continued innovation, fostering meaningful connections, and creating a synergy that transcends traditional boundaries to end hunger and poverty in the region.
The EPAHP is a convergence program that aims to mitigate hunger, ensure food and nutritional security, and reduce poverty in urban and rural communities including marginalized communities.
