La Trinidad, Benguet — The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Cordillera Administrative Region (DSWD-CAR) recently concluded the SLPA Conference titled "Partnership Interventions for SLPAs as Potential Community Service Providers." The event, held from April 16-18, 2024, at Jewel Igorot Building, Km. 4, Balili, La Trinidad, aimed to enhance the engagement capabilities of program participants from Benguet.

The primary goal of the conference was to prepare participants to actively engage in community activities, particularly as service providers in government procurement of goods and services. During the event, participants achieved several key learning outcomes:

  • Gained insights into Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation (NP-CP).
  • Acquired knowledge and skills in government bidding processes.
  • Understood various bidding documents and their attachments.
  • Familiarized themselves with demand and supply groups.

Through these activities, the conference equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills to support the sustainability and growth of their livelihoods. By fostering a deeper understanding of procurement processes, the SLP aims to enable participants to take advantage of government opportunities and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
