ATOK, BENGUET – In a significant stride towards welfare and nutrition enhancement of Child Development Centers, the Caliking Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative has successfully delivered the first batch of food items for the implementation of DSWD CAR's Supplementary Feeding Program in Atok, Benguet.
ATOK, BENGUET – In a significant stride towards welfare and nutrition enhancement of Child Development Centers' children, the Caliking Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative has successfully delivered the first batch of food items for the implementation of DSWD CAR's Supplementary Feeding Program in Atok, Benguet.
The cooperative was chosen as the service provider after undergoing the process of Negotiated Procurement-Community Participation, which is the procurement modality being promoted through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP).
In a display of efficiency and cooperation, the cooperative ensured the timely delivery of essential food supplies to several barangay Child Development Centers (CDCs). The provisions were picked up by dedicated child development workers who play a pivotal role in implementing the program on the ground.
The food items delivered encompass a well-balanced selection, meticulously curated to address the nutritional needs of young children. From fresh produce to non-perishable staples,
the cooperative's contribution promises to fortify the health and well-being of the beneficiaries.
The Supplementary Feeding Program plays a critical role in ensuring that children enrolled in (CDCs) receive the necessary nutrients for their physical and mental development.
